Street food vending with KALINGA shared with Pauli 2 folk

A training on street food vending was conducted by the BIDANI Network Program-UPLB for parents and adults in Barangay Pauli 2, Rizal, Laguna last May 4.

In the seminar entitled Kabuhayan at Ipon Tungo sa Pag-Asenso (KITA): Seminar Tungkol sa Pagnenegosyo at Wastong Pagbabadyet, Ms. Belinda Lalap, Participative Nutrition Enhancement Approach (PNEA) Coordinator, shared relevant information and knowledge about making and selling healthy and nutritious street foods.

She also introduced the KALINGA supplementary mix to the seminar’s participants, and demonstrated how to make KALINGA nutri-fishballs, which the participants can later sell in their communities.

Meanwhile, Ms. Alicia Quicoy of the Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) of the UPLB College of Economics and Management (CEM) was also in the seminar to talk about financial literacy and business basics.

The KITA Seminar was organized by Human Family and Development Studies (HFDS) major students of the UPLB College of Human Ecology (CHE) as part of their HUME 198 (Supervised Field Experience) activities.
